2. Tahoe/Reno Cross-Country Ski Trip－ 12/19/15 – 12/21/15

Date: 12/19/2015 (Saturday) – 12/21/2015 (Monday)

Time: 9:00am Saturday – 8:30pm Monday

Bus + Hotel Package: referred to details below

Hotel: Silver Legacy, Reno

校友會首創滑雪團及發財團一同出遊到Tahoe/Reno三天兩夜巴士團。 詳細計劃仍在最後階段的協商當中，活動組長曾錦琳將大致的行程公佈如下。 若有興趣參加的校友們，請向活動組副組長楊昌珉Changmin Yang 報名，charmingyang@yahoo.com. 如果湊不到55人，我們無法成行， 希望大家一同邀約同學們親朋好友們共度假期。

12/19 Saturday – Bus pick-up 9am at South Bay location.  Tour Fairfield Jelly bean Factory, State Capital, and Nimbus Fish Hatchery.  Arrives Silver Legacy Resort Hotel 5:30pm.  Enjoy a group buffet dinner.

12/20 Sunday – Bus will depart from hotel at 8am, head over to Squaw Valley/Alpine (or Northstar) to enjoy a fun day with snow/shopping/ice skating/tubing/snowshoe hiking.  Leave the ski resort at 5pm and head back to the hotel.

12/21 Monday – Bus will depart from hotel 8:30am;  head over to ski resort and depart 3:30pm to go home.  Stop by Davis for a quick dinner, arrive South Bay 8:30pm.

Cost of the Trip:

Charter Bus (based on 55 passengers, including driver’s tips and lodging): $85 per person

Hotel: $91 Saturday, $34 Sunday per room ($12 resort fee included in rate), double occupancy for adults; plus 13.5% county hotel taxes.  Two double beds.  Each guest will receive $11 in food credits.

3. 北加州政大校友會2016年費

4. 大專校聯會–江宜樺 前行政院長現任總統府資政演講會 – 臺灣政治發展的前景

5. 2016 新春晚會將於一月三十日舉行

Date:  1/30/2016 (Saturday)

Time:  4:30m – 10:00pm

7. 登山健行社 –十一月活動

Date: 11/14/2015 (Saturday)

Time: 1:30 – 4:00pm

Place: SFO Bay Wildlife Refuge Environment Education Center  (1751 Grand Blvd, Alviso) (Do not wrongly go to the Visitor Center at Fremont)

This is our last hiking event in 2015.  It is a 3.5-mile leisure walk to watch the migratory birds.  Bring your camera and telescope to watch these birds.  Hundreds to thousands of them are there.

We will start from the Education Center at 1:30pm.  We will walk north to the outfall of Coyote Creek and back to the Educational center.

Direction:

• Take CA 237
• Exit N. First Street, head north to the Bay direction.
• Turn right at Nortech Pkwy.
• Turn left onto Disk Drive
• Continue straight to become Grand Blvd.

What to bring:

–        The signed Waiver Form.

–        Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses. (100% no shed)

–        A jacket. (can be windy at the seashore)

–        Plenty of water, snack.

8. 展卷社 –十二月活動

Date: 12/12/2015 (Saturday)

Time: 2:00 – 4:00pm

Place: Millbrae Public Library (1 Library Ave., Millbrae, CA 94030）

Topic: A Discussion on the Novel “Living Treasures” (展卷社活動 #38)

Speaker: Huang, Yang (黃洋)

The author, Huang Yang, will present and discuss her novel, “Living Treasures”. Huang was born and raised in Mainland China.  She came to the US shortly after the 1989 student movement. Her short stories and screenplay were published in various literary magazines.  Her short story was nominated for the Pushcart Prize.  “Living Treasures” is her debut novel and a Bellwether Prize Finalist.

Huang lives in the bay area and works as a computer engineer at UC Berkeley.  You can find out more about her and her novel, “Living Treasures”, from the attached link.  Feel free to order a copy now for our December event.
